Nagisa and Lufel enter Kiuchi's Persona 5 The Phantom X palace and discover that Motoha also entered the palace, who awakens to her Persona after being verbally berated by a Shadow form of Kiuchi. While traversing through Kiuchi's palace, they discover that Motoha hitting a slider thrown by a Kiuchi, along with a scandal resulting from Kiuchi's purchasing of an escort, forced him off of the baseball team and into an office job, leading to his misogynistic desires.

They also appear within the CrossFate storyline where protagonist is sent backwards in time and enters a strange Monad Door. They are found within a replica of Tartarus.

While this game has the same social stat system as Persona 5, the stats can be raised to a much higher amount. Similarly, the game has Synergy Links, which function near identically to the Confidant system, only with more ranks, usually ranging from 15 to 20. Despite this, for most of the ranks only ten of them have events. There also are some non confidant characters that have side quests the protagonist can complete to get rewards.

Within the Metaverse, Mementos has been entirely overhauled, pelo longer being procedurally generated and has set regions. Aside from that, most of the Metaverse in general has seen little changes. Thieves Tool crafting is still present and the Palaces function identically to their Persona 5 Royal iterations. There is a mysterious park within the Metaverse that functions somewhat like the Thieves Den, having the ability to be customized.

After the brief introduction end, he returns to reality where the protagonist begins to fall victim to his desires being taken away. He's unable to convince the girls in the hallway to move, and later when a girl jumps from a building, he finds himself unable to call for help.

P5X altered the design of some Personas from the base Persona 5 to be less sexual due to censorship regulations in China (however, other versions of the game feature the uncensored designs, with some exceptions such as the Riders having metallic arms):
